Kidepo Valley National Park has several eco-friendly Uganda safari lodges including luxury lodges, mid-range lodges and budget lodges.

Apoka Safari Lodge. Apoka Safari Lodge is built around a picturesque rocky outcrop overlooking the Narus Valley in the southwestern sector of Kidepo Valley National Park, the Uganda’s most remote park.

Apoka has 10 spacious rooms, each with two queen size beds, a private en-suite bathroom, private veranda and a large outdoor stone bathroom that is the perfect spot to relax and soak up the views after a long day’s exploring.

There is a large central building where you will find a bar, dining area and common lounge area which leads on to a swimming pool.

The lodge is protected by a rocky hill with about 10 beautifully furnished rooms which offer endless views across the grassy savannah and interiors that take their cue from the environment.

Rock, wood and natural hues work alongside hand-crafted wooden beds which are romantically draped with soft mosquito nets.

The lodge has hand-woven woolen carpets which offer an element of added warmth and secluded sitting rooms and private verandas cater for quiet moments.

The lodge also has a lovely ensuite bathroom featuring a large tropical shower and deep outdoor bathtub perfect for refreshing after a successful day of game viewing.

Kidepo is renowned for its vast number of bird species and the area around the lodge offers rewarding birdwatching experience. Apoka Safari Lodge is a relaxed and appropriately located property hence bringing guests a peaceful and private experience.

Zebra Safari Lodge. Zebra Safari Lodge is a suitable accommodation options for travelers exploring Kidepo Valley National Park near the popular Kalukudo Gate.

Zebra Safari Lodge boasts 5 luxurious King Size Cottages set out on raised ground. Each of the spacious cottages has a private verandah offering splendid views of the mighty unending savannah vegetation together with a cool breeze of unpolluted air. Comfortably furnished with 1 King Size Bed, all the cottages have an ensuite bathroom with 24 hours hot showers, running water for hand-basins and a flushing toilet.

The spacious, grass thatched restaurant/dining and bar area offer one of the best views of the park stretching up to Southern Sudan. The Bar and Restaurant have been built using grass thatched roof overlooking rewarding views of the breathtaking endless savannah. The bar is modern and well stocked with a variety of wines, spirits and beers. The restaurant offers set menus of 2 course meals for lunch and 4 course meals for dinner categorized on the dietary requirements of guests having made prior communication.

Zebra Safari Lodge organizes morning and afternoon game drives of about 2 to 3 hours in an open roofed extended land cruiser along Narus valley tracking down a pride of lions, buffaloes, elephants among other animals.

Nga’moru Wilderness Camp. Nga’moru is located on Kidepo hill and this camp offers spectacular views of the Narus Valley and the savannah plains stretching to the Morungole Mountains.

Nga’moru Wilderness Camp faces the Narus Valley that gives a chance to guests to see animals grazing in the park like antelopes, buffaloes, cheaters, elephants, impalas among others.

The camp consists of 5 comfortable and spacious safari tents. All rooms are en suite with hot water inside. They have enough powered solar light and private verandas overlooking the narus river valley.

In the evening, guests are able to enjoy a camp fire as they share stories about the safari. There is an onsite restaurant.

The camp offers a variety of services and some of them include; laundry services, comfortable safari tents with hot showers, free parking space among others.

Kidepo Savannah Lodge. Kidepo Savannah Lodge is located near the park just a few meters from Kalukodo gate. This accommodation facility is a tented camp with both self-contained safari tents with ensuite bathrooms and non-self-contained tents with shared bathrooms outside.

Kidepo Savannah Lodge boasts 12 beautifully appointed safari tents on raised decks. Each of the spacious tents have a private verandah offering splendid views of the mighty savannah. Comfortably furnished with 1 double or 2 single beds, all safari tents have an ensuite bathroom with 24 hours hot showers, running water for hand-basins and a flushing toilet.

For the budget option, Kidepo Savannah Lodge offers 9 non-self-contained tents. These are comfortably furnished with 2 single or 1 double bed, a bedside table and a power outlet for charging your electrical equipment. The views into the park are vast and magnificent with an occasional herd of elephants or buffaloes passing by. The tents share a communal ablution block with hot showers and flushing toilets.

It caters for both budget and mid-range travelers. The lodge also overlooks the park giving beautiful views of the horizon, hills and breathtaking sunsets. Animals usually come near the lodge to feed in the grasslands below the lodge. The restaurant offers a set and fixed menu though they are flexible if you have any dietary restrictions. It also has a bar with all kinds of drinks ranging from beers to spirits.

 Apoka Rest Camp. It is a budget accommodation facility managed by the Uganda Wildlife Authority inside the park situated in the heart of Kidepo Valley National Park. This camp is ideal for budget travelers.

It has 16 self-contained banda’s with ensuite bathrooms and 14 non-self-contained banda’s with shared bathrooms outside. The camp does not have a provision of meals and drinks since it doesn’t have a running restaurant, guests are advised to come with their own food and drinks for the time they will be staying. The camp staff arranges the cooking.
